Electrical devices based on silicon technology have been developed with adding new functions and improving performances. However, future devices will revolutionize our society by integrating the various functions of collecting, processing, communicating and displaying of information with new technologies which can influence human being’s well-being and emotion. It is highly likely that this new nano technology called soft electronics will be one of the growth engines of the nation, but the technology is not in mature state yet and its market is not properly formed. This is why we need government-driven research development projects with high-risk investments.

Our center aims to create novel soft electronics with high-flexibility as well as high-performance. We will develop nanomaterial-based soft electronic devices with efficient information process, storage, communication and self-energy harvesting. In addition the devices will be equipped with the new concepts including wearability, biocompatibility, environment-friendliness and human interactiveness. We will show a new IT paradigm with creative knowledge and technology, innovative processes and products and these will be the basis for the nation’s bright future and well-being.
